So I began the hike with this romantic vision of snapping beautiful photos of all the cool shit I was gonna see with the semi-fancy camera I brought. Then 5 days into the 100 Mile Wilderness my camera broke. I’ve been carrying about 12 ounces of dead weight since with the hope that it would be an easy fix. After Cottonwood (Chris) attempted a failed surgery on it a couple days ago, I had to accept that it was time to send it home. It’s a bittersweet feeling, dropping nearly a pound but only having the phone camera to use now.
